MARK BURNS (B.Sc. (Forestry, Hons 1), Master Resource Science, Ph.D (Plant science))
Mark Burns is a director and the
principal of Global Soil Systems. Over the past 30 years Mark
has had extensive experience in mine rehabilitation, environmental
consulting, forestry, landscaping, nursery management and plant
propagation, forestry research and EA preparation.
He has managed multi-consultant multi-discipline project
teams for the preparation of resource based environmental
impact assessments and a wide range of other environmental
studies. He is a former District Forester for the then Forestry
Commission of NSW based in Muswellbrook and has been involved
in the design and implementation of numerous broad-acre disturbed/mined
land rehabilitation projects in NSW, Queensland and elsewhere.
His main interest is in the reafforestation of hostile sites
with native species using direct tree seeding.

DENNIS GARSIDE
Dennis is the Manager of Field Operations.
He has had extensive experience in mine rehabilitation, industrial land rehabilitation and large scale landscaping projects.
Dennis is also experienced in co-ordination and liason with a variety of Community Groups.
He has over 28 years of experience in landscape and land rehabilitation planning and implemention. He currently manages industrial and mining sites throughout NSW.
Dennis was directly involved in major land rehabilitation and horticultural research programs at BHP Steelsworks in both Newcastle and Wollongong where waste
materials were converted into viable soil substitutes.

ADAM BOGDANOVS
Adam has been a Project Supervisor with Global Soil Systems for 5 years, with a further 5 years experience in wholesale native tree and shrub nurseries.
He provides specialist services in the areas of mine rehabilitation, revegetation and direct tree seeding, native seed collection and tubestock planting projects.

MITCH REEVES
Mitch is currently an Environmental Scientist at Global Soil Systems since graduating from Environmental Science at Newcastle University. He provides expert advise on mine rehabilitation,
environmental audits and the development of electronic mapping documents. He has also been instrumental in supporting senior staff
on a range of mining and related land rehabilitation projects and has been involved in leading edge research in enhancing drought tolerance in native plants.
