GSS Environmental formed in 2003 in response to our existing clients in the mining industry requiring greater access to hands on, practical and locally based consultants. GSS Environmental is a multi-skilled consultancy with committed staff that have significant experience with both industry and government. GSS Environmental provides a wide range of environmental services from the planning stage of development through to the operational and de-commissioning stage, which are outlined in greater detail under our Key Capabilities. 
Our mission is simple…to provide a high quality, “hands on” service that delivers working management options for all environmental aspects within the current regulatory framework, while always considering the business needs of our clients. We view ourselves as partners with our clients, and above all, we value long term relationships. In 2004, GSSE prepared a Monitoring and Measurement Plan to document and record the management requirements for surface impacts (e.g erosion) of subsidence on significant landscape features, such as cliffs, steep slopes, watercourses and others. In an extension of this project, GSSE is has been engaged to undertake the ongoing fieldwork for the monitoring program, which involves regular inspection and measurement of the landscape features, such as the cliff site pictured above.
